Shannon began her career in finance and real estate in the mid-1990s as an intern in commercial lending for Indiana’s largest bank, Bank One (now JP Morgan Chase) where she communicated daily with business professionals and bank clients, and researched, prepared, and closed loans up to $22,500,000.  This experience set the foundation for her understanding of financing both established and entrepreneurial businesses and operations.

While living in Chicago, Shannon worked as a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley and subsequently Bernstein Global Wealth Management.  She is well versed in finance, wealth planning, and investment strategies for managing portfolios of high net-worth clientele.  While working as an advisor, Shannon began working toward a Chartered Financial Analyst certification but decided to change course to pursue her passion and dream of becoming an Executive Pastry Chef and Food and Beverage Executive.

Shannon has traveled and worked in some of the most prominent pastry kitchens in the world.  She has directed, trained, and worked in world-renowned pastry shops such as (Payard Pâtisserie & Bistro NYC), Forbes 5-Star and AAA 5-Diamond hotels and resorts (Wynn Las Vegas, Bellagio), Michelin Star and James Beard Award-winning restaurants (Per Se, Robuchon, Bartolotta, Michael Mina), and boutique hotels and bistros (Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro Boston). She is highly skilled in food and beverage, hospitality management, fine dining, catering, chocolate work, recipe/menu development, analyzing and managing labor, food costs, profit and loss statements, and leading and mentoring teams of chefs and cooks. After facing a serious health crisis brought on by recently developed food allergies, Shannon decided to leave the pastry kitchen and return to the business world in real estate.

As a trusted and experienced REALTOR, Shannon has successfully represented commercial and residential clients in the Las Vegas valley for more than seven years. She has an extensive understanding of contracts, real estate legislation, market analysis statistics, profit and loss analysis, great attention to detail, and strong communication and negotiation skills.

Shannon holds a B.A. in Economics from Indiana University and a Certificate in L’Art de la Pâtisserie from The French Pastry School in Chicago.  Originally from Indiana, she has lived in Las Vegas, New York, Chicago, Boston, Oklahoma, and Paris, France.  Shannon has made her home with her husband, Drew, in Las Vegas and Henderson for the past fifteen years.

Shannon has been recognized for her extraordinary commitment to her community.  Outside of work, you may see her volunteering at local shelters, schools, and food banks.  Shannon has been an active volunteer in the communities in which she has lived since childhood. Throughout Shannon’s multifaceted career path, a thread connects all industries in which she has served and brings meaningful expertise to theBLOQparq.
